This solution addresses Webroot SecureAnywhere for Mac OS X 10.7 and higherIf you are receiving error messages when installing Webroot or are having difficulties, check the following:
- Is your Mac supported? View a list of supported systems.
- Are you using the correct installer?
- If you purchased Webroot from a store or online and were sent a CD: this disk will not have the Mac installer on it. The CD is for installing on Windows machines. Install the latest download here.
- If you purchased fromBest Buy:Install the latest download for Best Buy here.
- If you are trying to upgrade your existing Webroot Security to the most current version: View instructions.
- Are you entering the keycode correctly? Many times the characters i/1, o/0, s/5, b/8, and others can be mistaken for one another.
- When installing Webroot SecureAnywhere from a boxed product, make sure to note each letter or number as you type. If you're not sure about a character, try it both ways.
- When installing from an email, you can copy and paste the keycode directly into the installer. To copy and paste your keycode, highlight the full keycode with your mouse, right-click the selection, and select Copy from the context menu (or press Command+C on your keyboard). When prompted for the keycode, place your cursor in the keycode entry box, right-click, and select Paste from the context menu (or Command+V).
